Frequently asked questions.

    • The Alice Sanctuary is a private home and is therefore only open to the public during tours and events
      → please do not show up outside of a booked tour or event

    • Tours are held through the summer months, the dates of which are typically released in May

    • Events happen throughout the year, and will be announced on Instagram and available to book on eventbrite

    • Generally, we do not take food from private households

    • If you have goods or services you feel could be useful to the Alice Sanctuary, please fill out this form and we will get in touch with you

    • Find the charge on your credit card/PayPal statement:

    • If the charge shows as “SP ALICE THE STORE”:
      → Log onto The Alice Sanctuary Online Store to manage your payment details

    • If the charge shows as “CANADAHELPS *DONATION”:
      → Log onto Canada Helps to manage your payment details (note that you may need to register for a new Canada Helps account)

    • The donation form we use (powered by Canada Helps) accepts payment via credit card, PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay, and Canada Helps gift cards

    • Due to the higher administrative cost of donations via cheque, e-transfer, and PayPal transfer, we are phasing out these payment methods

    • Using the donation form you are able to pay via PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay, and Canada Helps gift cards

    • If you are unable to make a donation using these methods, you can send cheques or e-transfers to the addresses found in the footer

    • Many of the residents here love to be pet or scratched, but please note that interactions with them are always on their terms

    • We never force our residents to interact with guests

    • Children must be at least 5 years old to attend a tour and must be accompanied and supervised by an adult during their visit

    • Tours consist of standing and walking through the sanctuary, and while you are able to bring a stroller, you won’t be able to use it in the animal paddocks where most of the tour takes place

    • TAS is home to over 200 animals

    • The families here include horses, cows, mini ponies, donkeys, mules, big pigs, pot-belly pigs, goats, sheep, llamas, ducks, geese, turkeys, hens, roosters, barn cats, and rescue pups
